Muhammad Ali Jinnah University

Home of Jinnah League — where Pakistan's brightest students compete, connect, and grow

About the University

Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) is a federally chartered university in Karachi, Pakistan, named in honour of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah — the founder of the nation. Established to advance quality higher education, MAJU has grown into one of Pakistan's respected private universities with a strong emphasis on computer science, engineering, and management.

MAJU's main campus is located in Karachi's SITE area, with a second campus in Islamabad, making it one of the few Pakistani private universities with a significant multi-city presence. The university is recognised and accredited by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

The university is home to a large and active student body drawn from across Pakistan. MAJU's Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering is particularly well-regarded, producing graduates who go on to careers at top technology companies in Pakistan and globally.

It is within this environment of academic ambition and student energy that the ACM MAJU Student Chapter was born — and from which Jinnah League emerged as a flagship event to showcase and celebrate the best of Pakistan's student tech community.

The Home of Jinnah League

Every edition of Jinnah League has been held at MAJU's Karachi campus. The university provides the venue, institutional support, and the student body from which the ACM MAJU Student Chapter draws its organisers, volunteers, and competitors. MAJU's central location in Karachi and its culture of student engagement make it the natural home for Pakistan's largest student-organised tech and gaming festival.

Jinnah League's growth from a single intra-university gaming festival in 2022 to a 2,000+ participant national event by 2024 is a direct reflection of MAJU's academic culture and its students' drive to build something extraordinary.
